About us

Dutch national platform of multimodal imaging centers

AMICE (Advanced Multimodal Imaging Centers) is a national collaborative network of experimental & preclinical imaging facilities from all Dutch academic sites, initiated in 2021. These sites harbor advanced in-vivo experimental & preclinical imaging equipment and imaging science expertise to visualize and characterize biological processes in all its complexity in living, intact organisms; essential for studying normal development, understanding disease mechanisms and developing novel treatments. We aim to progress from a collaborative network to a cohesive multi-sited, national high-scale infrastructure and center of expertise, and function as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for innovative, experimental & preclinical imaging techniques in life sciences.

AMICE will transform experimental & preclinical imaging science by:

  1. Development and dissemination of unique and top-notch imaging techniques and applications.
  2. Centralized data sharing and management beyond the FAIR principle.
  3. Access to and support with newly developed and advanced data analytics.
