amice Amsterdam
Amsterdam UMC offers state-of-the-art preclinical imaging facilities at two complementary locations.
At location AMC, researchers have access to advanced MRI, ultrasound, and photoacoustic imaging, as well as two-photon microscopy and SPECT. These technologies enable high-resolution, multiparametric studies of anatomy, function, and molecular processes in vivo.
At location VUmc, the focus is on PET/CT, bioluminescence, and fluorescence imaging, including 3D fluorescence tomography. These modalities provide powerful tools for quantitative molecular imaging and whole-body visualization of biological and pharmacological processes in small animals.
Together, the two sites form a comprehensive and complementary preclinical imaging platform, supporting translational research across the full spectrum of molecular, functional, and structural imaging.
