Groningen Small Animal Imaging facility (GronSAI)

With the Groningen Small Animal Imaging facility (GronSAI) we unite small animal imaging modalities to achieve excellent multi-modality imaging by sharing expertise and by providing a single portal for researchers. We offer multidisciplinary expertise on structural and functional imaging, including PET, SPECT, MRI, CT and optical imaging, as well as on data processing and analysis. Being embedded in the Central Animal Facility we have access to many disease models, microsurgical support and the option for behavioural analysis. In addition, GronSAI is part of the department of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, which offers the possibility to use a large variety in nuclear imaging probes, to develop new probes and to translate preclinical findings to clinical studies. Researchers can be trained to independently perform multi-modality imaging studies or we can offer full-service support.
